  • Heather Leigh & Old John

    April 30, 2025

Another page of the Suzanne Langille songbook: Heather Leigh revisits "Old John" -- part of the songcycle in The Enchanted Forest, the 1998 LP from Suzanne and Loren Connors. The album is based loosely on the story by John Lebar and the 1945 film of the same name. Heather's pedal steel and vocals accentuate the impending dread facing the forest and all its life.

The Suzanne Langille Songbook is out now.

    2 x Loren at 75

    February 14, 2025

Loren Connors, now 75, remains an unstoppable force of creative expression. As his vast catalog of recordings continues to be reissued, and his visual art finds new audiences, he still moves forward—improvising in real time, forging his own path through a spectral, mutated form of the blues.

Out today are two new albums that document Loren's unmistakable sound—the haunting Nightfall, and the explosive Spitfire. Both 10-inch min-albums are limited to around 300 copies each.
