Loren Connors' My Brooklyn
March 20, 2014
City scapes were a hallmark of Loren Connors early 1990s work -- his guitar offten telling the stories of New York City past and present. My Brooklyn is a return, of sorts, in vein. Released by the Japanese label Analogpath, the 500-edition CD collects two live performances: The Stone (1/7/12) and Zebulon (2/26/12). It is available here.

February 5, 2014
One of our favorite duos took to the stage at Issue Project Room this week -- Alan Licht & Aki Onda. They also revived their trio with pianist Michael Snow. Hoping for another album from these gents. Photo from IPR's Instagram feed.

Chris Forsyth's Solar Motel LP
January 13, 2014
Our Vineyard mate Chris Forsyth is back with another killer jam called Solar Motel. It's right-on described as "a four-part suite that reimagines and reanimates the collected history of guitar-driven rock, lighting out for fresh territory in the process" by the Paradise of Bachelors lads who issued this one. If you know how Forsyth's love of six-string has blossomed under a marque moon for many a years, then you got a sense of what goes on here. Forsyth is also heading out with the notch Solar Motel Band for a tour in February and other assorited dates -- check those tour dates on the above link.
