Neel Murgai is a sitarist, overtone singer, percussionist, composer, teacher, and Co-Artistic Director of the Brooklyn Raga Massive, a raga inspired musician's collective. Neel's music ranges from Indian classical to original compositions and contemporary cross-cultural collaborations with influences spanning the globe. Neel has worked with a diverse array of artists and ensembles, including Bill T. Jones, Adam Rudolph, Andre DeShields, Wyclef Jean and Cyndi Lauper.

In the late-1990s Murgai began performing with the improvisational rock combo Haunted House, with vocalist Suzanne Langille and guitarists Loren Connors and Andrew Burnes. Murgai and Langille have continued performing and recording together as a duo.

There are no upcoming tour-dates for Neel Murgai.

    Suzanne And Neel Back In Flight

    It's been a long time -- a decade -- since the debut by Suzanne Langille and Neel Murgai, Wild & Foolish Heart. That LP came out of nowhere, and knocked a lot of people, well, on their heart. Flipped their head around, too. Since then we've waited, and waited... and now, Come When The Raven Calls is ready to take flight. The LP is Suzanne and Neel's song cycle of loss and empowerment -- a fusion of American spiritual blues and trance-like percussion with multi-note vocal overtones. Get ready to be knocked over again (and again). 

    This nine-song album comes out during a time of uncertainty, so we are taking a few approaches to distribution. It will be available for direct mailorder from us to you starting June 5, here at F-V.com and at Bandcamp; the same day you can stream it on your platform of choice.
